I've Read it!
If the most recent Patek Philippe magazine issue is the one with the microscope image of purple seed on the cover, I've read the Stern interview.
Personally, I didn't gather any new information, as the of this forum have already mentioned and discussed nearly everything addressed in the magazine, but it was still a good read and a nice confirmation from Mr. Stern.
I recently read one of the very recent issues of Watchtime magazine which confirms why I think Patek made the departure from the Geneva Seal. Watchtime had a more radical and provoking explanation of Patek's radical departure from the Geneva Seal.
I had also suspected (from my own logic and premonitions) the Roger Dubuis movements and the new Cartier in-house Tourbillon movement were instrumental to why Patek had left the Geneva Seal. Apparently, some editor at Watchtime shares my exact same sentiments.

The seal has no logic

The seal has no logic, as everyone has already stated. They have their name on the dial, buckle, movement, case, its all over the place. That is their seal of quality. In the long run, this move will hurt them as quality could fall and still the seal woul...
I totally agree.

No logic at all....just marketing arrogance. It has actually put me off a bit. In this aspect I prefer the Journe attitude of "my watches are accurate and highly finished enough for me - so I don't need to subscribe to any external services, seals or test...
PP Seal

Personally, I don't care about the seal, either of them. What I care about is to see the Patek-Philippe mark on the dial.. and that the watch is performing the way a Patek should, the way that Antoine Patek and Adrien Philippe would want it to be..the bes...
