my good friend wearing his brand new 5712 for the first time during this auspicious day !

He was so happy with this piece on his wrist that he was all smiles.  A couple days ago, he sized it but without wearing it, and later the same day found out that this watch was discontinued.  Hence our GTG was so meaningful because he now possesses the most symmetrical asymmetrical steel Nautilus there is/was.  Naturally I had to try it on my wrist as well, and simply did not want to return it to the owner.  Green with envy is all that I can say !

symmetry to it if you draw a line from 1.5 o'clock to 7.5 o'clock ! The 5822 with date window has less symmetry to it IMO

He got a very special piece! Just like the Cubitus it received very mixed reviews when it was launched in 2006 and look at its popularity now! Another thing we can applaud Patek Philippe for: Their vision and long-term thinking. Enjoy your beautiful piece...
