A sincere welcome to our forum Madam, and congratulations in advance to your husband on his first Patek Philippe! :-)

I believe you are correct in identifying the reference you saw back in St. Thomas. It might have well been either a 5119 (a reference introduced in 2007), or if your visit took place earlier, a 3919.
Now both of these references are out of the official catalog, so you could only source them from the so-called "secondary" or "grey" dealers. I strongly advise you to exercise *lots of* caution in the secondary market, however, especially if this is your first time buying an important watch. I won't go into market values (we don't discuss them on this forum), but let me say that you should be able to find a reasonably good deal for either reference.
My best suggestion, to be honest, is to try and purchase a model from the current catalog, if your husband is interested, so you can source it at an "AD" (Authorized Dealer). This way, your husband will also be able to enjoy a more complete, personalized experience for his first Patek Philippe purchase. I see you are connecting from a region of the US that includes relatively many ADs. Their entire list for the United States is available for you here:
Finally, below is the link to the entire, current Calatrava collection, the newest entries introduced last month being the 6119R and 6119G on the top left. The 6119R, if available for your husband for such a special occasion, would be my personal suggestion. Please see:
I hope this brief reply will be helpful. Again my best wishes to yourself and your husband, and best of luck on his first Patek Philippe!
