Hands on Twenty-4 Automatic at the dealers....
Following the brouhaha on PuristSPro albeit mostly by men, the current Mrs MTF (and little old me) decided to check out the Patek Philippe Twenty-4 Automatic range at an authorised dealer in the U.K.
Half the watches we saw were already sold or about to be sold.
In fact, a large group of Thai buyers were in the corner of the salesroom purchasing both ladies and gents Patek Philippe watches.
A weak GBP and 21% effective discount for foreign buyers means than this dealer sells two Patek Philippe watches each working day.....

This model had a substantial presence on-the-wrist as the solid gold bracelet was weighty.
The impression was of excellent quality. The new deployant clasp was secure and ultra smooth bracelet comfortable without marking the skin.
The bracelet flexibility was noticeable.
The Shantung silk look of dial was most appealing and the numerals more three dimensional in real life than in photos.

Between the two steel models, the sunburst blue dial was more convincing to the current Mrs MTF than the grey dial.
She felt the grey did not look grey enough in the light and somehown made the diamonds look yellow, whereas the blue dial enhanced the 'whiteness' of the diamonds.

The champagne did not cloud our judgement...honest!
The new Twenty-4 Automatic watches exuded more quality and luxury feel in real life that the online commentators project.....
Finally, we had to check out the old quartz movement steel Twenty-4 manchette watch with a DLC (diamond-like coating) 🤔

I think it’s because of super polished gold.
It looks similar to gold plated or fake gold without handling and feeling the weight of real gold.
We have to trust the current Mrs MTF

Not metal bracelet and gemset watches
The current Mrs MTF does not like metal bracelet and diamond-set watches. She prefers diamonds and bracelets as jewellery...eek! 😕 MTF

I’m not a big fan of this timepiece. Still prefer the original Quartz model. But this now offer more choices to the ladies watch lovers. A win - win for both Patek and the consumers.
