So Rubber b did what PP wouldn’t. What are your thoughts? I wanted to purchase different color straps for my 5164R from PP, but I was declined. Has anyone seen these in the flesh? From the photos, they look like a good alternative. I was always of the opi...  

But at that price point you may as well get the OEM Patek rubber strap, unless you want something else than black. What they should have done to differentiate their strap, was to have some kind of quick release system so it would be easy to switch between... 

Not sure how it will be perceived on your wrist if it doesn’t look like the original with the Patek strap pattern. I guess thieves may mistake it for a fake Patek. Less issues of having your watch torn away from your arm in the streets..haha’

Agree that PP ought to offer choice. I went a different route as I do not like the rubber b pattern... ...  

It is the one line of watches that can be more fun and experimental! Keeping different color straps only for specific references, doesn’t make sense. The strap is not the novelty. A new reference (case, dial, movement) is.

If all the styling cues (color and pattern) are to your taste, the quality will be there. I have no affiliation with them except as a satisfied customer.

Plus you also need to remove and transfer the original clasp (Rubber B strap relies on the original flask, it doesn’t come with its own).

Personally I would match the rose gold case with the orange strap. Create a combination that you feel suits your style and taste.

Do not ask this purist which choice to make, ending always genuine. But, seen what Rubber B does, it looks good enough. Owning an Aquanaut, it is worth to set all sails to get genuine straps and collect all available colors. Rubber B, it is only when ther... 

But the orange strap(5968)and the green/khaki strap (5168) won’t fit a 5164. PP chooses to offer specific colored straps only for specific references. So, there is no choice. Nonetheless, the 5968 is offered with 2 straps (black orange). On the other hand... 

They are an American company however the straps are made in CH in the same factory that also manufactures Omega rubber straps. It’s therefore possible that this same factory also supplies the PP rubber straps.
