Doesn't anybody love the Ellipse? Please own up and show us some pictures of this beauty.

This classic must be the least talked about of all the Pateks. What is it about it that renders it so invisible to the watch aficionados?

It has some outstanding credentials. Ultra thin, automatic movement, clean and elegant dial, "heavenly" proportions and one of the least expensive automatic Pateks.

Here is a picture of the yellow gold model with the blue sunburst dial and a blue strap that I borrowed from somewhere on the web and I cannot recall now from where. Thank you for letting me use it, whoever it belongs to. As I am only extolling its virtues and not trying to sell one [since I do not own one], I hope it is ok.

But this is my personal taste... I prefer the timeless elegance of a Calatrava. This Ellipse is a bit too 70ies for me, with this weird shape. If I had to go on ( and I went on ..) a 70ies look, I'd rather consider an Aquanuat or a Nautilus, IMHO... But t...
