Differences between 5022 and 3960

I recently purchased a 150th anniversary 3960. Although I have a 3802 which is the same diameter as the 3960, I was surprised at how small the 3960 looked on my wrist. This may just be an illusion due to the somewhat "curved" crystal and thicker case of the 3960 but it was enough to spoil the appearance for me. I was also not impressed with the tab/hinge appearance resulting from the rear cover, nor the protruding strap screws (I thought this looked interesting in pictures but it somehow made the watch look overly "busy"). I subsequently returned the watch within the 2-day approval period.
My question is this...
The 5022 is similar in appearance to the 3960 and appears to be thinner, with a flatter crystal and without protruding strap screws. I have not seen the 5022 and I wondered if anyone could offer any advice. I like the overall "retro" look of the 3960/5022 and would appreciate advice from anyone who has seen both watches in person. Thanks, Phil
