But i would leave the watch on the chair while swimming

30m

you're solid but don't ruin the strap , if only PP had a rubber strap

I'd probably stay very far away from the water with a 5930, even with a rubber strap..

When for a watch they indicate 30 meters (or a 3atm pressure), outside of perfect lab conditions it means that you can barely wash your hands safely...Water damage would be a disaster for a watch, personally I would even avoid taking a shower with that be...

I know, but what do you do when your daugther gets a problem in the water and go under? You thinking about your watch, or you jump?

It is a shame in the 21th century, when some so called luxery brands, can not make a real waterproof case. 30 mtrs is alibi-waterproof.

The less WR requires less

engineering!

I always like to compare cars with watches, ....... mens toys!

What would the owner of a Bentley or Ferrari say, when they tell him that this car is not made for rainy days, because it is a luxery car? George I am sorry, my english is poor, what do you mean with WR. Excuse me please.

WR-water resistance ,I think

Swiss are not care with WR as much as we do a couple of years before most dress Pateks were designed for just 10m so 30meters quite a development.

You can, but you shouldn't πŸ˜‰

It's a great watch but not made to swim with it. And I would never swim with a leather strap, no matter the WR of the watch.

Of course you can!

One time. ☺️ Best, Thomas

100% I’ll swim with a 30m watch

the leather strap the issue here. On rubber strap I’d swim every day with it.
