Hi Chris, this was indeed a limited edition recently produced by Patek, but as the moderator let me briefly explain, so hopefully the term "hidden collection" can become a little less mysterious :-)

Patek, like many other brands, has on rare occasions produced limited editions of its watches, whose allocation is obviously offered to the good collectors of the Brand, be it via a Salon or the usual AD system. In fact, again unsurprisingly, on even more rare occasions Patek even created unique pieces, whose existence is normally NOT disclosed by the lucky owners.

In particular, just a few years ago, Patek produced a limited run of a Platinum 5711. Your picture refers to the version with a diamond bezel; similar limited versions were also produced with ruby, emeralds, and sapphires in lieu of diamonds.

Note that all of the above is essentially public information, available at a simple Google search. One of these limited 5711 in Platinum with diamonds was even advertised on sale on our Collectors Market in 2020.

Hope this at least in part clears up the "mystery" behind these beautiful Pateks smile
Cheers,

FabR (Patek moderator)

I saw this one in person a few months back. Pretty sure it sold for around 500sgd. Wasnโ€™t that impressed by it, the 5270P on the other hand..

Had a chance apply for one 2 years ago

around a few pieces on each stone (diamond 5711/110p, sapphires 5711/111p, rubies 5711/112p, emeralds 5711/113p) every year. This gray dial was introduced to replace the 010 white dial.
