An unusual Patek Philippe 5970G Salmon Dial.

Here it is: Credit picture; Christies.

I am not sure I like the small XII, which looks a bit weird, here, and the small round applied dots, but for the rest, it is a feast!

Still, Miles' one is my favorite.

Best,

Nicolas

Regular J/P/R/G Run out J/P/R/G with the Roman XII. The J version has a champagne dial I believe. Salmon G Brown dial J possibly a one off. There was a photo of it recently following a factory tour. Blue dial P definitely a one off for charity. That makes...

Yes indeed!

You now see the craziness of my desire to acquire all!!!! Basically totally impossible.

Wow Miles so thatโ€™s at least 3 or 4 more variants beyond my list of 11!

 By: Conkers : October 18th, 2018-17:59
The blue with the Roman XII - were all the run out ones in platinum with a blue dial or was there also a black p with the roman 12? So then the run out XII were G/salmon, J/champagne, P/blue and R/black Thanks for the great pictures. The article below sug...

The only Salmon dial 5970's were.

 By: Miles_151 : October 19th, 2018-00:19
Part of a set released at the end of production reportedly in a number of 4 sets this one with studs and in Platinum and the only others are the London Exhibition 5970gโ€™s with the Salmon baton dial as mine and I believe they made 4 and the one at the star...

Sorry a correction.

 By: Miles_151 : October 19th, 2018-01:01
The one in this thread is the 5970g from the sets. I have not seen a 5970p with Salmon dial. So as far as I know only 5970โ€™s with Salmon dial are in white gold. M.

I had seen most of them but Imran gave me a couple more.

The 5970 is clearly a very special reference and I believe a watch very close to Thierryโ€™s heart. M.

A few more?

What a shame. M.

5970 in any variant is good

This is from the days when Patek could do (almost) no wrong... and a lot very, very right. NICE.

True enough Mostel!
