The difference between collecting and hoarding is a simple one.

Hoarding is keeping everything you’ve ever bought, never selling or getting rid of anything.
Collecting is a managable array of items which can be subject to being sold as and when circumstances or desires dictate.
You know me, never one to sit on the fence or pull my punches, but your response seems to suggest you’re living somewhat beyond your means. Maybe a downsize and a bit of re-thinking is in order then.
That said, aside from the KV, I suspect any suggestion to aggregate a couple of pieces into a single independent like say Gronefeld, L&H, or Romain Gauthier, will be met with opposition due to the Pateks holding better residual value.
Even so, perhaps an idea would be consider setting an amount you’re happy to write off, in effect, and buying a selection that fits needs, budget, etc, and then pocket the difference from the Patek sales so that the financial aspect doesn’t become an issue any longer.
I could write loads more in that respect, but I believe you’re savvy enough to comprehend what I’m getting at. If not, just say.
