About a year ago...
For my big 40. I bought my Nautilus from my local AD.They had both the blue and the white dial. I ended up with the white.
I was there again a couple of weeks ago and was talking to the owner and he said the Nautilus has been only come in 2 more times since my purchase both in blue. The white dial has not come in again. He says he gets constant request for it but it not in his control how many come in throughout the year.
It is a bit ellusive and maybe that makes in more special when you finally get it. But I doubt it is more elusive than your amazing 3712.

I got from AP their anniversary book "Royal Oak" from 2012. In that book they state that in some markets Royal Oak is a better known brand than Audemars Piguet. Best, Kari

I would get it before all of those go to the safes of collectors. My feeling is that people do not yet fully understand that 3712 is the last Nautilus constructed according to Gerald Genta's original design. Best, Kari

It's just a case of Patek keeping the production low, like people already mentioned, it makes you want it more, maintains the exclusivity, and Patek wants you to buy the higher end model where margin is better. And Thierry Stern have publicly said he does...
