The 5059 is highly underrated and a bargain in the secondary market.
Where can you get a perpetual calendar with retrograde and an officer case for less than $40k! It wears beautifully as a staple dress watch. Absolutely timeless and elegant. Wear with health my friend!

The 2nd Patek was an unusual Calatrava 3542 in YG.
I like that piece a lot. Unfortunately I don’t have a decent pic of it.
Congratulations on owning such a wonderful, beautiful and complicated watch! It is a mystery to me why this watch and other Patek retrograde perpetuals are relatively unpopular.
IMHO it houses a much more complicated and interesting (retrograde) movement than the 240Q. Plus there is constant motion on the dial because it has a seconds hand and it has the very appealing hinged back. I own and love the similarly not so popular retr...

You’re so right with saying these models are not appreciated very much. I also had no interest at all for this reference at it seemed way to old-school on pics. But when I saw it in real the watch immediately got me 😄
