Which of those two icons do you prefer: PP 5711/1A-010 or AP 15202IP?

If we were talking about 5711/1A-010 vs. 15202ST, which would be a fairer comparison, my choice would be the first one, even though I find that the movement, including rotor, of the Jumbo is better looking. However, the mix of brushed titanium and polishe...

My take: I lile the design and feel of the PP better, but... This being such a well known piece, the AP scores much higher on enthusiast insider status vs show off. Bottom line: I still go PP Just my 2 cts. C.

The 5711 by a long way!

One is famous for his sharp edges, the other for his ears. The concept behind is also different, although they're both extra flat "sporty" watches
15202IP, the market price for both is very close
By: Joepny : May 17th, 2018-05:59
What I like about the 15202IP: obviously the smoked dial color, the coherence of the date window with the matching color, the courage of AP to have been using titanium for decades, the coolness of the Pt bezel and center links. As someone who has an RO wi...
Thanks a lot, Joe. Agree regarding the bezel/scratch issue.

Market price is different though. Both go at 20k above list price which is a higher percentage markup on 5711. Availability is also different. Basically no Jumbo IP available on after market due to low output. Of the 250, 100 will be delivered in 2018 and...

5711 for me.

The mirror polished surfaces make the AP a bit too flashy for my own tastes.
5711 for me...
By: Greenwatch : May 17th, 2018-09:36
The 15202 wears bigger, too fragile to wear, too cumbersome to adjust time and date, and too scratch-prone. I got the watch last year and hardly wear it. But love to have it in my collection. 5711 was a revelation, initially not a hard hitting Nautilus co...

On the day, on which the 15202IP was presented I contacted the Boutique for the watch immediately . Now, I am on the waiting list on the position Nr. X. As I have never bought an AP before, my chances will be low that a 15202IP will be allocated to me. If...
Thanks for your reply.

All 15202IP have already been allocated. Waiting list makes no sense at all. Iβm still undecided on 5740G. I tried it on at a PP trunk show in April. Itβs nice, great proportions and weight but I find the dial a bit too overloaded. Letβs see.
Subjectiveness

We can all "think" that a watch is or is not acceptable size-wise or what Brand or fashionable or in good taste. We can have our thoughts based on what we believe is a set of accepted, pre-set norms. There are contemporary standards, linked to a certain p...
