Or do you really think the watch word would have gone that crazy about Royal Oak and Nautilus if there was Zenith or Heuer written on the dial?

I dont mind date

 By: Patekphilippecollector : June 18th, 2020-07:11
Patek generally has a white window to the dates...ot gives the contrast or appearance of beig an hour indeces whereas the same colour it would look like something is missing

Too true - from a purely design-oriented perspective, I think JLC did a better job with the the Memovox Timer (and the 2016 blue dial LE Memovox)...

...than Patek did here. Note, for instance, how much more sophisticated the treatment of the date window frame is on the JLC. The JLC design(s) are also more reflective of the brand's heritage (IMO) than the Patek. In all honesty, despite their prestige a...

Does precisely nothing for me.

Hmmm? Im not seduced

 By: ChristianDK : June 17th, 2020-23:50
It might as well be a JLC. I don’t see what is “Patek” About it except the logo.

Isnt your comment really unfair towards JLC?

 By: Reuven Malter : June 18th, 2020-00:05
I think they lately did very nice designs. I got your point, just joking ;-)

 By: 5212A : June 18th, 2020-00:12

I think if it's smaller than 40mm like a 38mm. And no date it would be great. 👍

 By: geross : June 18th, 2020-00:16
Plus more limited perhaps 800 pcs only instead of 1000 pcs. Plus the crown is screw down. My opinion. 😊 Geross

👍production is probably still a tad less (last I heard we were in the 62–65k range), but a large number indeed for a limited edition.

 By: FabR : June 18th, 2020-10:19
One way to explain it (besides the expected demand for this model, but that would have been impossible to meet anyway with any reasonable numbers!😂) is the recent discontinuation of several Calatrava references...As we are going to see more modern/casual ...

As mentioned in the other thread, a 1,000 run to me is not so large, especially given the commemorative event, and in comparison with other recent limited editions. For example, the ...

New York Grand Exhibition offered 600 pieces of 5522 just for the US market. The 5522, in a steel case with an "affordable price point", flew out the door, and after around 3 years, it remains highly sought after as evidenced by secondary pricing. Will si...

Agreed on the JLC design link

But I like it, a fresh design that keeps with the 5000-6000 references. Maybe on a jeans blue rubber tropic strap? Something I cannot unsee: photo credit Zeitauktion ...

I like it. Finally a 40mm Calatrava! I wish my 5296 was that size. This 6007 looks a bit like a mix between a JLC Memovox and a late 2000s IWC Spitfire, but hey...

I like both of these, so I definitely like this 6007. I also like how the date window is placed! ...

Nice PP but too similar to the JLC memovox...

It is interesting to follow the reactions in this forum and elsewhere about this new watch. I think it is an excellent move from Patek. This watch has enough ingredients to be called "original Patek" and not to be mistaken with other brands. At the same t...

Welcome here Leolin, and thanks also to you for breaking the news of Patek’s first 2020 release!😀

 By: FabR : June 18th, 2020-03:17
One more piece of information as I added in the other thread: this version will be available for Euros 26,149 or $28,351. I’m still not clear when it hits the ADs, but hopefully by the end of the year. More to follow. Cheers🥂

Super mixed feelings about this one

 By: WH_ : June 18th, 2020-04:37
While i buy into the strategy and logic behind this launch, I genuinely dislike how busy and cluttered that dial is.

I like its modern look

 By: patrickh : June 18th, 2020-04:57
it should have a success for sure in youngsters. Could be more impressed if : - the case was made in Tantalum or in Titanium - there is no date. Now,, after this 2019 Calatrava, I am waiting to discover the new 2020 Calatrava line with another case design...

which of course has to be approved. I agree that the watch will look better with a date but when Patek uses its 324 caliber, chances are the date will exist. I usually like my watches without a date window but I think my 5212 looks great with it and my fo...

Thank you for saying so!

 By: sham1 : June 18th, 2020-07:02
I seem to be focusing on modern steel Pateks so this 6007 was a no brainer, date or no date! I don't follow JLC so resemblances to the Memovox meant little to me. But a steel Patelk - that's something else.

Its a faux pas..

 By: Brandon Skinner : June 18th, 2020-12:50

My dealer informed me of a price of 25.500 €. Difference is probably due to lower VAT rate in Germany.

 By: cayenne1200 : June 18th, 2020-08:04
He told me furthermore that he had to submit a list with the names of customers interested in the watch. So it seems that at least PP in Germany tries to check out possible buyers before allocation of the watch. Good idea imho.

Same process in the UK

 By: DOCSF : June 18th, 2020-08:12
The AD needs to submit a list of names and Patek Philippe UK will decide who gets the watch.

I didn't know the AD needed to submit the current Patek collection of each person on the list.

 By: DOCSF : June 18th, 2020-08:53
It was not the case when he submitted my name for a 5231J.

Thanks. I will check with him tomorrow

 By: DOCSF : June 18th, 2020-09:03
I thought Patek Philippe UK will have a comprehensive list.

I hope u didnt mention all the ALS [nt]

I think this will be essentially the procedure everywhere, there’s just no alternative given the huge number of applications expected...

 By: FabR : June 18th, 2020-09:06
The point is that customers must be individually approved by Patek, hence above the AD level (not necessarily by Geneva though). At least in general, providing a copy of your updated list of Pateks can only help, and we’ve all done it at some point👍

Definitely a step sideways, not forward.

 By: ideas771 : June 18th, 2020-08:11
I feel that this model is following the "trends". And definitely something that Omega would do. Patek needs to consistently set itself apart and not cave into modern day trends.

Not sure about your „trends“ point. In my opinion PP cannot completely stick in its

Just not a fan of the design of this watch. Reminds me of a Montblanc Summit.

 By: patrick_y : June 18th, 2020-10:01
Only reason why it'd get so much attention is because it's from Patek Philippe. And it's kind of overpriced for a steel watch. I'll take a white gold 6000 or 6006 any day if I want a slightly sporty and slightly strange Calatrava with date.

Welcome new member! [nt]

Hi Ed, Remember the 600 pieces of 5522 Pilot in steel for New York exhibition for the US market ?

 By: GLau : June 19th, 2020-09:42
This 5522 is a derivative of the 5524 which was so controversial when it came out because many thought it looked like IWC and had no Patek DNA. Thereafter, PuristS found vintage aviation references which inspired the 5524 and then bestowed the 5524 with P...
