i’ve always admired the 5070, but didn’t want to spend the money before. However now that 5711A has increased in market value so much, I’m toying with the idea on selling it to buy 5070 which is now within same price range. What do you guys thinks and if ... 

I would go for white gold in 5070...

as centurionoe said there is a lot of hype regarding the 5711... But it is a more versatile watch than the 5070 and more of classic in every sense. Personally I would not- I would though trade it for an ro jumbo... Good luck deciding Cheers

5711 is an entry-level mass product trading at temporarily inflated prices. After the hype not much will be left.

So I wouldn’t call 5070 as being that hyped price wise.

I don’t want to offend you, but not everything can be expressed in money... I would not hesitate one second and switch. But I wouldn’t have bought the 5711 if I would always liked to have the 5070 in the first place. Make a wise choice, Dirk

Liked the 5711 before, but not as much now. Always liked 5070 better but couldn’t stomach spending so much then. Just thought it makes sense to trade now in view of the price parity.

you might be able to get both a 3940 PC and a 5235G. It’s a crazy world now but it depends on what you like...you might regret loosing that bragging rights 😉😉

I'm having similar temptations with my 5712, so I perfectly understand you. I'm not selling it (yet 😅) because I love it too much. Is it sensible, who cares? I love my watch. We tend to overthink about this trade options, but the truth is that it isn't a ... 

And take the watch you love more. I’ve been in this situation several times and the minute you throw value in, you may regret it in the future, because you can always find a way to afford nicer things later in life. However, I’m assuming you got that time... 

5711 prices are insane and over the value from my perspective . Do it 👍🏼

And run as fast as you can. Providing you paid retail for the 5711 you will have had deal of the year. M.

The only downside is if you need a date and these are daily wearers. For my job a date is very beneficial as much as i dislike the aesthetic

1. Classic Lemania based movement 2. Silicon free movement 3. Not in production 4. Much less common 5. Ties to mid century (which is a personal preference) 6. Under the radar
