5970 is my grail but will certainly remain a dream (it is nice to have dreams, specially such nice dreams 
) but with this salmon dial it is just THE one for me (like for many I suppose).
I only wish to have the opportunity to see it in the metal one day with this fantastic salmon dial (I could see and try all other versions)
And to have two of them together is just fantastic. I understand you lost contact with Ahmed, what a pity. It is maybe not too late to get in contact with him again, at least try... he might be so happy
In the meantime enjoy yours and wear it in the very best of your health

Great story. As soon as I saw the salmon dials it reminded me of the standing joke on TimeZone a while back about a Franck Muller salmon dial.....
that stayed on the sales corner for forever and nobody wanted it. So whenever there was a salmon dial shown there would be a collected tee hee about the whole thing. Personally I like some of them. Like yours.
