The only complaint I’ve heard about the 5196 is that the movement is too small. Does anyone have a photo of the 5196 with the caseback removed showing the size of the movement in relation to the case?

the use of it allows the dial to not be flat within the thickness of the watch. This leads to a fine aesthetic face IMO. R

I can tell you it did not look pretty! But you should google 5196 open caseback and not "215ps" or "5196 movement"

The movement is so small it cannot be seen with the naked eye.
