Nowadays while lots of people buy watches to make profit, they don't really wear them. Real watch lovers don't really care if piece is hot & trendy or not because we love watches! When they become so much in demand, prices go way high and real watch lover...  

Wear and enjoy, life is too short. If you later decide to get it polished just wait till service time. I did get a Nautilus bezel replaced once rather than polishing but it cost me around 4000 USD including service. It was well used by then! Enjoy and the...

Now that my new watch has a few very light marks on it, I feel a lot more carefree wearing it (though I still want to avoid getting it as scratched as your PP :P).

I do exactly the same, but some like to keep them factory fresh and I say, do whatever takes your fancy. Personally, I take the view that a watch can be sent for a freshen up/repair/etc., so wear as intended.

I just think watch flippers really spoil the hobby as watches are supposed to be loved and worn. Cheers
