The story goes that unsuspecting buyers bought and kept the watches sealed and then years down the road and several buyers later it was deemed to not be an authentic watch. As they say buyer beware. Investment vehicle. Yuk. Just my 2c Bill

I guess that's just one more reason for its new owner to keep it sealed! Wouldn't want to be the one standing there when the music stops.

This is why in recent years Patek has directed all ADs to unseal a watch upon sale to the final customer; normally you don't even get to keep the opened carton box. So examples of sealed Pateks at auction will probably be fewer and fewer gong forward, at ...
