Which one do you like better? Especially in terms of collectibility. Appreciate the input. Have a great weekend. 1. Laurent Ferrier Black 30k+ 2. FPJ Platinum 30k+ 3. Laurent Ferrier White Enamel 50k+ 4. Patek 5196 Platinum 30k+ ...

I vote Ferrier enamel...

...anything but the Patek. It has a lovely face but the movement isn't very exciting imho.

Yes. The enamel is rare [nt]

Would be my choice if price isn’t an issue 😊 The PP would be the 2nd choice. Cheers

+1 [nt]

Patek.

Most harmonious package. Especially on the smaller wrist. FPJ on 2nd.

Patek 5196

Best looking of all three. I spare comments on the other two.

Thank you [nt]

For me, it would be the LF in white enamel, if possible.

If not, 5196 would be my pick.

First, which one do you love most?

If unsure, is it in your budget? If so, the size, the feel, the way it sits on your wrist are all important factors - what makes you smile, heart beat faster. Versatility, will it be a daily wearer or a piece that has to wait in line to get some wrist tim...

i've thought through the exact set of watches &...

i realized i'm not comparing apples to apples... 1, LF - steel case, micro rotor 2, FPJ - pt case, manually wound gold movement 3, LF enamel - WG case, micro rotor, enamel dial 4, PP - pt case, manually wound you'll not easily come to terms with the above...

FPJ but the guilloché dial

 By: mahesh : March 17th, 2019-00:22
Manually wound Pt case & gold movement... PP would have been my 2nd choice - except the movement is too small & at this price point 5711 or 5712 make sense imho Best, M ...

Love PP but from these four I d go for FPJ

👋

Do u think the other 3 are safer investments?

 By: Passionata_george : March 16th, 2019-14:58
I trust the FPJ is just before take off!

i don't think any of the above performs one above the other in secondary market...

 By: mahesh : March 17th, 2019-00:47
& IMHO that shouldn't drive your choice, the market can change tomorrow ! go for what you like & what you would like to keep in your collection...

Go with the one that you like the best.

My personal choice would be either the enamel LF or the FPJ. I find the black LF a little too severe for a watch of this type. I have no interest in Patek as long as they are too lazy to make a decently sized manual movement for the Calatrava.

Exactly...

The PP is a classically beautiful dress watch, but the movement has been an afterthought for far too long now.

I like a lot the LP with the black dial... [nt]

did you consider also an UJ...??...

For me very easy, definitely the 5196p

 By: Mineral : March 16th, 2019-19:46
it is classic calatrava that look good all the time. Timeless piece

My 2 cents.

If you are not sensitive to price, I’d go LF white enamel. I don’t know what your current collection is, but it ticks a lot of boxes and I believe the value will go up. But I can say that the PP would be my second choice. It is a great daily wearer. The b...

Laurent Ferrier

Hands down. Even if you take the black dial it’s still a great watch and I think the best choice out of all the other priced at 30+K

Collectibility is a shot in the dark here but as many have commented the enamel is most likely candidate. However for owning it is most important to consider why. If for investment there are better things to invest in. If for wearing, then what kind of we...

My choice would be the LF enamel or the FPJ but most importend is buy what you like most .

 By: Watchonthewrists : March 17th, 2019-00:21
Dont look at these watches as investments . Just buy to wear and enjoy them as much as possible . That is what this crazy hobby of us is all about imho.

Very well said.

The PP is the most common, but fro a visual point of view, I think it is the best looking watch. GEO

Advantage Patek...

But the white LF comes very close.. The black LF has no chance...

If you don't mind...

 By: CL : March 20th, 2019-11:13
If you don't mind people keep asking you to take out your watch from the wrist to show them, go with the LF enamel. I have seen it in person and it is truly wonderful. Don't wear this watch when you are driving or having a date. You will be busy staring a...

Thank you!!! :-)
