What a nice watch!   I tried to get one when they were new, but did unfortunately not get an allocation at that time.  And I refuse to pay the inflated gray dealer prices.

Would be particularly interested. I did own the 5524G just found this had huge gaps in dial but I know may people love this reference. Each to their own.

What do you mean by huge ...

...but this one would be better-served by a sub-seconds hand at 6. The bottom half looks very empty and it gives the dial an unbalanced look.

Thanks for your comments ! The 5524 does have a useful travel time function. With its gold metal case, the 5524 entry price naturally is more than...

double the amount for 5522. Given it is made of steel and is a limited edition, 5522 has caught up in the secondary market with the 5524.

A nice gesture my friend, but an even greater gesture if you decide not to run away with this 5522..😂😇

Seriously, I had a chance to try it on once in Boston (I probably still have the pictures somewhere), and it’s indeed a strikingly simple but fascinating piece! Glad it was as successful as Patek was hoping for when they released it in the US, and that it...

yes Fab, I have thought of running away with this 5522 and never return ! :-) I can run but cannot...

I like it!

It is rare, special and practical. But, when it comes to beauty, there are so many rivals at a small fraction of its price. For instance, my new Longines Heritage 1938 ...

I like this watch.

However I do not need to own this watch. I would like it much better if it were two millimeters smaller and was a manual wind.

A beauty! [nt]

Effortless design

 By: 74hk : April 6th, 2020-00:50
To me the design is boring and effortless. The position of the lume on the second hand looks out of place as it sits too close towards the end of the hand. The hand set looks clumsy overall. The case is simple, but lacks the sophistication that we would u...

As a unabashed fan of the 5522A, all I can say is that it's a great casually elegant look, historically accurate, and beautifully crafted with precise details such as its applied numerals that almost look painted on the dial. I'd love to sport one with je...
