A Penny for your thoughts?

Hi, I am in the process of reducing my collection to a smaller, wearable number of watches. I am considering adding either one of the Aquanauts (5167 or 5164) or a Nautilus 5711. For context, consider that the new watch will join three other watches: a Ro...

The 5711 without a doubt

I own a 5712. It's the most versatile watch in my collection. Doesn't look out of place with a suit. The bracelet is the most comfortable bracelet you will find. Very ergonomic, and just falls over your wrist and you won't feel it's there. IMO, It's even ...

5711

I am totally against the Aquanaut series, it's one of the cheesiest line in PP, they shouldn't be making rubber bracelet watches at all (my personal opinion of course).

Hi Tom

5711 is the basic Nautilus. Regards Ian

I understand 5711 is a Nautilus, I was commenting on the Aquanaut series, they are different line as far I as know...

No kidding

I think you commented on the wrong post then. Regards, Ian

I am getting a subtle message....:-)

I'd get the 5164 to spruce things up so not all your watches are time only

Plus, I think the 5164 looks the best of the 3 Nautilus models. Cheers, Anthony

Have to agree with Mr. Tsai

I'm usually not a huge fan of the Aquanaut series but tried on the 5164 the other day and it wears really nicely! A bit pricey for what it is (case material, rubber strap etc), IMO, but you might be able to get a decent deal vs a 5711... A 5711 is the wat...

Call 5711.

I have a 5712 too and love the 5711. Except the fact I like the style much much more than the Aquanauts, I also find its finish more to my taste. The design is much more elegant too, imho of course. The Aquanaut is sportier and I would less be scared to b...

Oh Bob...

I see trouble for you... Sorry to have put this idea in your head... But you'll thank me later. Happy holidays!

AP RO

Hi Bob With this new post of yours... I vote for an AP RO esp the blue dial one if the bracelet and case fits you nicely and comfortably. Having an AP also helps diversify your brands as you already have a PP. Having said that... the Nautilus is great too...

... keep the Nautilus :-) Best, Rob.

In this context, only the 5711 adds a new element

 By: Mostel : December 24th, 2013-21:43
You have a black sport watch... so the AQN doesn't really advance your cause very much... anything you might wear w your Sub, you could equally wear w an AQN. The 5711 is clearly the 'addition'. With that said, I prefer the new 15202st AP (w blue date whe...

given your collection, I think it should be between

 By: GLau : December 24th, 2013-22:31
5711 and 5164 Since you have the Rolex, you do not need the 5167 the 5711 designed by Genta is very Patek, hence worthwhile to get My Goldman Sachs investment banker has the 5164 and it is very practical especially when you travel. The two time zones is a...

i have mine a week and i love it more and more :-) I reduced my collection from 6 to 1 for this beauty. Next will be a nice old rolex probably. ...

5711 without hesitation

And a nice compliment to your collection. You have good taste. Kind regards,

5164 for sure !

 By: cmclee : December 26th, 2013-16:52
since your current collection does not have any complications and also you tend to travel quite a bit. You will get used to the thickness very quickly. (in my opinion is not really that thick and can hide under the cuff) 5164 combines the elegance of a Pa...

+1

Go for the complicated one - 5164a!

Everyone says 5711....so don't do that!

 By: Baron - Mr Red : December 30th, 2013-01:55
Why go with the crowd! I have a Rolex Sub and also share the same Patek as you. I went 5167....one of the most easy to wear watches I own....perfect in a pair of jeans or suit actually...OK...not a formal watch but you have that covered.

I love the way you think! ;)
