To be fair, I only saw the 5370P Black in the real. I was under the charm of its deep black dial. I didn't see the blue, so I will expect to see it in the real before any final judgement. I have my doubts, truth to be told. Both are enamel, of course, but...
I'll be interested to see, however, if the popularity of the blue version will increase during the next few years when this version begins circulating...we might be in for some big surprises! ;-)
But I understand why Patek would choose the current shade of Blue to create a clear differentiation with the Black dial version. Darker shades of Blue often look Black. Cheers, John
This particular watch demands black or a darker, deeper blue. If they really wanted to throw a curve, instead of this light shade of blue make it salmon with charcoal numbers, hands and indices.
...'classic' or 'sporty.' I've tried on a friend's black dial...it is very nice (said in a Borat voice) : ) If I had the choice? Well...sadly I don't...
The black one to me looks more formal. Judging by the photos the hue of the blue one is lighter than the watch in real. From the pictures I would select black. But having seen them both fir real, I recall the blue one stood out (and was bit darker blue)
