1.) does the solid case back make it heavier vs models that had crystal case back? Seems like yes given the extra precious metal 2.) does the solid case back make it thicker on the wrist vs the crystal case back? Seems slightly convex

I have the platinum model which came with the solid back and it wears the same as my J with the display back.

The sapphire back is slightly heavier than the gold back. Also, I think the watch with the gold back may sit a little lower on the wrist. I have never had the solid gold back in my 3970. The movement is too beautiful to cover-up!

That’s completely opposite of my guess. I would like it to sit lower and weigh less (that’s really true of the solid case back?). Of course I don’t want to cover up the movement though - makes it a tough choice between models with weight and wearability o...
