Let me chime in as the moderator of this forum. These are the documents I received from Patek specifically on the 5236P last April, before I announced it for WatchProSite. They hopefully contain the information you are looking on this beautiful new PC.

I'm not very familiar with the movements PF uses....but as you can see, the 5236 is an original, in-house model. Patek has of course no ongoing technical collaborations with other brands, which includes PF. I hope this helps! smile

Hi, I want to get the new 5236P. While doing my research online, I also saw the micro rotor movement by Parmigiani. Comparing the 2 movements in images, they look the same to me. Is it possible for Patek to collaborate with Parmigiani? Or are the getting ...

All images are from watchesbysjx. One image is from Patek posted in watchesbysjx. The finishing, of course, is different. But the placement of the jewels and screws look the same for me. The ceramic ball berring and wheels for the rotor look the same. I a...

this is not the same movement. Parmigiani does not work together with Patek. The movements are just similar - like other microrotor-movements. Look at the Chopard LUC 1.96 for example - it looks similar too.

the pf movement is based on a vaucher which is used by others as well. pp microrotor is indeed a different story but: pf gets or did get patek quartz movements, patek gets movement parts from pf (screws)

Thanks.

Hoping it is not the same movement. You want exclusivity when buying PP.

Looks completely different for me. I base it on the screws and jewel position. I really hope it’s not the same because I am getting the PP’s new perpetual.

Sure….

You can be sure that it is not the same!

Yes.

The dial is amazing. My only somewhat problem is I just got a 5524g and paired it with a blue strap like the 5236p. So I am looking for another strap for the 5236p which will make it pop. Francis
