Yes, it’s true. Neither version, R or P are listed on Patek’s website as being part of the Collection. I am envisioning a lot of yawns😴 Let’s face it retrograde perpetual 5496 has never been what one might describe as being a “popular” watch. I am certain...

I tried it on some time ago and its proportions were great too. Really beautiful timepiece. But 5496 definitely wasn’t popular. The majority isn’t always right. 😉 Best, V.

as all the iterations before it. The problem may have stemmed form the problems with the retrograde calendar hand getting stuck on the early 50s series which PP corrected. The 54 series, even though only 39.5mm, wore like a 42mm watch and the sharp edged ... 

I prefer the 5050 to the 5496 by a wide margin.

clean dial even with high complications ! The use of apertures with baton hour markers enables the dial not be too busy for such complicated functions. The applied hour markers are so tiny and well done ! Congrats on having this interesting piece and enjo...
