Hi Rod 75
I just added a watch to my home insurance up to £5000 they are covered without needing to specify them over that amount you do need to specify them and the cover you require. For instance adding My Speedmaster Apollo 8 with a value of £7450 was an additional £80 per year but it is covered for loss or theft in home or whilst out or travelling and also for accidental damage. Which I honestly feel is not bad for the coverage and peace of mind it gives as although I have yet to lose or damage a watch you never know when it may happen hence the whole point of insurance to reduce risk.

Dear all, I have tried to find a company that could insure my watch. Unfortunately, I have been told by one of them that they do not cover such items as « there are too many disappearances ». I would like to get from your experience to know if some compan...

We have two watches insured via AAA (the car insurance folks who also do home insurance). It is a separate premium. I just had to get a valuation from an authorized person.

I had the same concern when I realised that even if you have your collection in the bank safe you are not covered by the bank’s insurance at all, or just with a very limited amount. I talked to my insurance company and they just expanded the value of my h...

You can add jewelry, watches, firearms etc. to home or renters insurance as scheduled items. Depending on the value the premiums can be very high. A better option might be to have a safe at home. Most burglars don't have the knowledge or time to try deali...

through Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company. You can also “schedule” personal property (an insurance agent will know what this means) on your homeowners insurance policy. However, if you ever file a claim, it will most likely have an impact on your homeowne...
