I would not have a problem having the issue solved at the AD if a REALLY skilled and well trained watchmaker would take care of it. But the problem is that the AD will not get any necessary parts for the repair.

So there is only one solution: let it be send for a service at PP. 6 months will go by quickly and you can look forward getting your wonderful watch back.

Call their Customer Service dept. and ask for Israel. I've spoke with him often and he fits the definition of "Customer Service". I would like to think they will take cafe of everything , including shipping, to make your Patek function as it should. BTW: ...

In fact this is not ever their fault.. it is just a mechanical problem that will happen sometime to any mechanical watch. A quick services at PP services centre will fix it no problem. IMHO I would send the watch back to PP services centre/factory for a p...

Just wanted to chime in. Definitely send to PP, don’t have anyone else open that watch. If something happens, you may end up with a frankenwatch with parts from other references or worse polished parts that are not PP certified. I’m sure you paid a pretty... 

The only PP authorized service in the US is Henri Stern and Sons NY, NY

It was recently bought, new or used, from a Patek AD and you would think that it came with a minimum 90 day warranty - Yes?

Request a refund from the AD based on the assessed value of the trade ins. Or get it fixed at Patek Philippe. Nothing else can be done.

I don't think it is good practice at all to use their in house watchmaker for a grande complication piece. Even if the watch comes back "working" you will have no idea on what damage will have been done where you can't see. These are super finely finished...
