I am a free-market kind of guy. If I were incredibly rich (I’m not), or if I’d inherited a fortune (haven’t and won’t), I would pay top dollar and enjoy the ‘experience.’
But if that experience costs thousands of dollars it’s not going to happen.
As I get older I may relax my self-imposed rules. But for now I am seeking value...

I do both
New and used, and am not averse to either. As long as the watch is something I like or desire and if the money being asked is reasonable and I personally consider to be “fair value”. One thing I won’t do is to pay a premium on any watch.

But in good condition. I don't run away from scratches, and as a matter of fact I wear all my more expensive watches as I wear my G-Shock or Seiko Monster. It's a tool, and all the bruises, nicks and scratches give it character. The only one I bought new ...
