I prefer the 240s anytime. They make a lot less swoosh sound and feel when I wear them compared with the 324s. I dunt have any problems with the power reserve.

Do you like 240s or 324s?

Looks wise, I think micro rotor is more appealing, imo but both are good. Apologize for not cleaning the case back ...

Seems to be that way since it's their base movement for many of their complications...of course we know we prefer the looks of pure mechanical movements.

I only wish the power reserve can be higher than 35 for some of their watches and I see they are working on that as witnessed by the new 6119s. Thanks for the input Ed.

I like the 240s, but micro rotors never wind well.

I was very avtive for hours yesterday and yet my power reserve indicator on the 240 caliber didn't go up hardly at all! I really like micro rotors, but goodness, they're just not great winders.

They do make a sound for both movements which is telling...

You have a 5712 or 5085? I know my 5960 PR indicator stays full steam whenever I wear it, it winds well.

I have the 5712.

 By: patrick_y : May 14th, 2021-20:59
Yes, the 5960 seems to wind very efficiently. After half a day of wearing, a 5960 seems to recharge fully. The 5960 is a great piece. Big and sporty. The 5712 is beautifully thin and delicate. But that winding seems to be very inefficient as well!

I'm feeling the heft of the 5960P and sometimes the deployant is pressing against my wrist bones...

making an imprint on the skin, lol....maybe should go for the SS version, while there are still about equal in "value", not the black dial, of course.

I've only worn the 5960P grey dial...

I haven't worn the bracelet version yet. I think I had a short strap on the 5960P if I recall correctly. I do like that watch.

Wow!!

Nice collection!! If you love micro rotors then you should also look into the new 5236P with the new Platinum rotor!

Thanks my friend….don’t make me blush….

Yes I did….but I heard the allocation is tough, so it’s like others, just waiting.

Is it a trick question?

One of your shots is the CH 28-520 C from the 5968A. 🥃

Oops….must be my fat fingers selecting the photos on my phone app…

Thanks for the note…but it’s too late for me to delete that now. I’m not that sophisticated 😂

The 324 is a reliable work horse 🐎!

Aesthetically I prefer the 240 micro-rotor as it has an attractive look 👀

You struck all the right notes Gordon…

Exactly my thoughts on these 2 movements.

Yes Count and I still remember you mentioned the thickness…

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 13th, 2021-19:04
My 5738R is thinner than both my 5196P and even the ladies 7200/50G.

No problem, mon ami.

 By: amanico : May 13th, 2021-21:53

Yes it is quite nicely proportional

This one is the 7200/50G-011, New York Grand Exhibition

I like the looks and contrast too

I’m with you on that, and always wanted my own 240…

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 13th, 2021-21:17
Now I got one of the best versions in a watch that comes with this 240 😊

Micro rotor for me Raymond 👍

Similar for me. Thanks Justin 👌🏻

Beautiful stuff or objects can usually get away with something :))

Can healthy food be as delicious as deep fried stuff, it's all subjective but here I agree with you on the 240.

Clearly!

 By: amanico : May 14th, 2021-06:49

I’m used to the bearings sound since my first PP and yes, 240 is quieter.

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 14th, 2021-01:44
I still prefer at least 48 hrs of PR…some specs of at least 35hr is too little IMO.

I love the 240 but would wonder how it works in daily life

 By: slungu : May 19th, 2021-17:18
I have a microrotor already in form of a Piaget 12P and I have to say, as much as I like the esthetics of that - and the 240 is beating it hand down, I have a problem wearing it. Why ? Well, I have some sweaty hands so I put down my watches when working. ...

The specs on the 240 on PP website…

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 19th, 2021-18:29
Says Min 48hrs, which is better than the Specs of 324, which says Min 35hrs to max 45hrs. Therefore, I think it must be good but I didn’t test it.
