I have tried it this week

Very nice on the wrist but, and a massive but, under the lights of the showroom, it was impossible to read anything on the dial...

So, if any one above 40 is considering this piece, just try it on before under some light conditions it might be tricky to read.

News Flash: Patek Philippe World Time Chronograph in steel, Ref 5935A.

 By: amanico : October 18th, 2022-10:48
A new reference which doesn't only highlight the new dial, but also and mostly a new case size: 41 mm instead of 39, 5 mm. For a height which had been slightly reduced ( 12, 75 mm versus 12, 86 mm ). And now, the case is in steel! The other big change is ...

Interesting !

Yes, not given

The choice with this prices between blue and salmon is not easy.

+1

Pleasure.

Unique dial.

 By: ArmisT : October 18th, 2022-12:24
I initially thought the dial was gold, but the website says it is opaline…which is a new material to me.

Thanks for looking, Geo.

Agree the 5935 is my fav too

I knew that! ;)

 By: amanico : October 18th, 2022-13:38

😜

 By: Watchonthewrists : October 20th, 2022-06:34

At the point to go for it?

 By: amanico : October 20th, 2022-06:40

I don’t have a PP in my collection anymore but since

 By: Watchonthewrists : October 20th, 2022-15:26
i saw the 5235R I thought thats the one to get when possible but now seeing this 5935 its a strong contender too 🤔. Need to see it in person when possible

Keep us posted!

Where are the 2mm

 By: chris7509 : October 18th, 2022-12:54
I like this new one too, and i m eager to see them next week . BTW any guess what part of the dial has seen its proportions increase because we can hardly see any difference between the various dials

Veeery nice!

 By: tempus : October 18th, 2022-13:26
But would have been ok with me if it would still be 39mm… Best Tempus

Wow a steel, salmon WT

First patek I actually want to see if I can get. I assume no pp history so maybe in 5 years I'll be allowed 🤣

I never liked this reference because of the tiny minute subdual.

 By: als1678 : October 18th, 2022-14:42
Not only it looks out of place, it also makes it obvious that the movement is too small for the case. The new steel model makes it even more pronounced ... Otherwise I like the case, the color of the new dial. PP could have made something much nicer by ha...

Oh yes!

Hi Nico, the salmon dial with checkered pattern is well matched with a light tan strap 👍 Great combo !

 By: GLau : October 18th, 2022-15:40
The steel case is a real (pleasant) surprise though 🤩

Yes, I do think so, Gordon.

Really dislike the 5930...

 By: patrick_y : October 18th, 2022-16:14
And really dislike the 5935. I just don't like the proportions of this timepiece! The sub seconds looks small and cramped. There are at least four rings circling a rather small dial in the middle; the proportions just look really bad. Give me the 5110 or ...

Oh! Right! I forgot about that's the minute counter! Thank you for your reminder!

 By: patrick_y : October 19th, 2022-16:45
Somehow in my mind, this combination just doesn't work out. It's like Patek Philippe went to a customer study and determined, "our customers like our WorldTime and our customers like our Chronograph; why don't we make a combination of the two to gain even...

5930 looks weird on my wrist

 By: penfriend : October 18th, 2022-19:40
and I don't think that it gets better with a larger case but will try

Spectacular!

 By: KCLQMULKU : October 18th, 2022-19:58
PP just goes from strength to strength! They always seem find that balance between grandstanding and humble practicality. Just impressed!

As I mentioned before I lately began to like this reference

 By: 中野れい : October 19th, 2022-05:50
a lot. The blue dial is stunning but the steel version would be a great one! If you can get one.... 😂

Hahaha

 By: 中野れい : October 19th, 2022-06:14
Good one, Nico! Hope it's not as difficult as Nautilus

;)

 By: amanico : October 19th, 2022-06:16

Sorry, but in the dial lay-out I see the signs of a (too) small movement within a (too) large case.

 By: jlux : October 19th, 2022-11:56
For me personally the dial lay-out does not work ....but of course beautifully done.

To be honest, I often feel the same

 By: JoshTheCanadian : October 20th, 2022-02:40
I love the brand, but at the same time, I feel like today's Patek is not yesterday's Patek - and I care significantly less for today's Patek and the direction it is going. For a second, let's leave behind the difficulty of getting one - I have less of a p...
