Theoretically speaking, It feels like the Rose gold is visually close to brown, so there's not enough contrast compared to yellow gold. which is why that was my impression. Going back to Fabrizio's comment, best thing to do is to go to PP and try them both and play around, they're super helpful. That's what I did.

Looking at 5146J and 5146R - was only able to see R in person and it was the new variant. This screenshot from a YouTube video of a J - which is the old variant with a metallic moon phase and slower beating movement - from a looks perspective seems to mak...

The -001 in your picture, and a -010 iteration with a darker dial (probably my favorite of the two). If you are interested in purchasing a 5146, I would even suggest to ask your AD to view one or both J models before deciding...it might not be too difficu...

Here's my perspective, i was on the same boat as yours

The cream dial is fantastic and pops really well on both models. I think this issue here is more lighting than anything. And the shiny moon and stars are amazing when they reflect. When choosing between R & J, go with the gold color your heart generally g...

A super helpful response; really appreciate the thoughts. Most surprising was to hear that the J stands out on a brown strap compared to the R. Any color on why? A more “white” metal in the R makes it pop in general? Or maybe the starker contrast that exi...
