Hi guys whenever in dilemma I turn to this forum for advice, as I know I would get the best and most experienced one. Since I’m still new to this. So I have the JLC duometre that I’m not really wearing a lot. Somehow finding it big for my wrist now. The s...

5205 wears much thicker. So when i read your comments, you should like

The 5396. It has a great size, the moon is not as spectacular then on your JLC though. However, your watch is classy but a bit more "modern" then 5396, so this could favor the 5205 for you. But in terms of size, i guess you will like the 5396. The version...

I am also not a real JLC watch man. U have small wrists i guess, so here are experts who can help u to find a Pattek who fits on your wrist. Pattek is also not my thing, but say Ulysse Nardin and i am over the moon. And see that F.P. Journe chronometer in...

Gotta try them on

You need to go to an AD and try both if possible. The 5205 (40mm) wears thicker and comes w a pin buckle. The annual calendar layout is more legible as well. The 5396 (38.5mm) is a touch thinner and smaller and comes w a deployant buckle. Both should be t...

There are also 40,5mm Duometres.

Other Pateks in the collection? 5205 is a great modern AC, but I wouldn’t give up a Duometre for it. It is a stunning and innovative watch.

How much money do you intend to lose? You should be happy with what you have.......

Very silly idea to buy softish brands in the first place...... Even sillier to sell these said brands to buy popular brands....... PERHAPS I CAN GIVE YOU 2 WORDS OF ADVICE "PATEK and ROLEX"

Sorry but

this is in all respects a rather ... limited ... view and advice. Best Thomas

From your wrist picture the Duometre seems big on your wrist.

As the others said, if you are not wearing it - then why not change to something you are happy with. But I certainly do not subscribe to the two words advice "Patek and Rolex". I think that is an overly narrow and simplistic point of view. The watch world...

I have a 5205

It wears beautifully, probably one of my smallest watches. I find it wears like my daytona 116518. You won't go wrong. That being said , I think the duo is a little more visually interesting. Good luck!

That's a tough one...

The duometre is a high-class work of art, but I understand your point about not wearing it (I've had the same issue in the past with watches that I perceived as big/top-heavy for me). One thought is to put the duometre away for one month. If you don't thi...

Not a bad advice... [nt]

Have you considered the Patek 3940 Perpetual Calendar? At 36mm it might be a perfect fit. There are usually an abundant supply of excellent examples in the secondary market.
