I was visiting just visiting Italy after Geneve. The other enamel watch I Iike is the sailboat they launched during their 175th anniversary by Anita Porchet.
It’s an incredible coincidence that the enameler chose that spot to represent, it’s a beautiful neighborhood on the sea called Boccadasse, my favorite destination with friends during summer.

Indeed, it's probably a more rare and specialized craft, but extremely fascinating. Patek told me they currently have only one person who can do wood marquetry dials, though I never had a chance to meet him.
In fact, this year they have not been able to produce any marquetry pieces at all, as far as I understand. It's just amazing to look at the dial, you can literally see the slivers of wood and how they come together. The day I'll be able to take some decen...
