Yes, the safety feature is an added bonus that I didn’t know about myself until recently.
This movement has so many things going for it, but another feature that I like, is the hacking seconds and the instantenius jumping minutes counter! All this incorporated in a silent looking classic design. Thank you for your input and complement! Zsolt.

Does it wear flat and integrate nicely with your wrist? If you've ever tried on the Lange 1815 Chronograph.... how do the two compare for wearability and comfort? Best, Robert
Actually I happen to own a Dato a few years back, and had an 1815 chrono on loan for week last year, and in my opinion the 5170 is much more comfortable.
I’m not sure about the actual difference in height between the two, but the Lange has a cupped case back therefore it’s a bit wobbly, compared to the flat case back of the Patek. Also it you compare the case design of the two watches, the Lange is a bit m...
