Your thoughts on these 5205G dials...?

Hi, folks. I'd love your thoughts, comparing these two 5205 dials. Please put aside economics and whatever other watches may be in one's collection, and let's focus only on these two watches in a vacuum. Which do you prefer and why? Thank you ahead of tim...

The moon face and the stars are s much more “sparkling” on the blue dial

Blue in real life is quite nice [nt]

Blue for me.

I recently saw this watch with the blue dial and it was gorgeous.

Definitely the blue. I was never taken by the black and gray two-tone effect of the other 5205s.

A gray fume dial would be great too. I just don't prefer the two-tone effect of the dark gray or light silver dials. And the all-black dial is a bit to stark for me. Cheers, John

Easily the blue...

Gray seems somewhat simple, like they xeroxed the blue one

Anthracite here, please

I prefer the anthracite and I've almost pulled the trigger a few times. But don't get me wrong, the blue is stunning. If you only look at the dial, the blue is definitely superior. But I have a soft spot for the whole dark grey combo, I find the watch to ...

Will go against the grain here, the anthracite would be my pick.

I see a million blues, whereas I don’t seem to see the two tone dial in this kind of execution. The 5205 is one of my favourite of the modern Pateks.

the black grey combo is very gorgeous in metal - i guess the picture is not doing justice...

i equally prefer to stay away from the 'blue' - almost blue dials every where now

Thank you all... Here's why I asked and started the thread...

I'm new to PP, having just gotten my first one last week; a 5712G which I love. I've historically been more of a VC / AP / ALS wearer. I am growing out of AP and still love VC (especially Overseas) and ALS (especially Zeitwerk). Now that I have the PP bug...

One of my favourite references. The blue does it for me

(No surprise) and almost bought one this year until I realised I already have enough watches!!! I owned the 5205R which was magnificent. Dont be put off by people stating that it was illegible...I had absolutely no problems. I like window displays but if ...
