If I recall correctly Patek called the second water proof strap composite. I t wasn't available in 2008 when I got my 5711r
I bought it with sole intent of putting it on a
Rubber strap. I dont think a sports watch should be on leather. However it did come with a second strap that looks rubber but cant very certain. Will post some more in days ahead but their is short video Instagram story..

I understand that once u try rubber you never go back to
Leather....I think these are my only 2 rubber straps...for now 😂😂😂

I often travel to warm and sometimes humid places. And I always remind myself not to wear a leather strapped watch. A bracelet or rubber strap is the way to go sometimes!
What a beauty on the rubber strap
The 5712 looks pretty meticulous on a rubber strap, others often opt for the leather strap…completely loving the rubber strap on this one.
