This is what started it all for Modern Pateks in the 36mm + size group. Forget lusting for a 57211 or an Aquanaut...... the precious metal complications were always what took my heart away....... The late 90s were a time for the introduciton of 2 very ama...

Your analysis is 100 % on point.

Good to read this in times of Instagram crazyness. Yep, these should be the hottest PP models. You love them not based on investment reasons, but for their historic significance. And they are from the days when Patek almost only made classic pieces. Thank...

Again?

Please note that I owned three (3) Ref. 5035 bought new from authorized dealers in the US. None could keep time with precision. All were sent back for adjustments to Stern, NY, all were returned running fast (over 10 seconds fast a day, up to 30 seconds f...

Uff. Bad. The one thing that really bothers me is the fact that your AD is not allowed to adjust, even if he indeed is a certified watchmaker.

... are excellent time keepers. Not a generel problem of this ref.

This is regrettable

Its always amazing how a 1000 dollar mechanical watch can keep time perfectly and some higher end stuff cannot

100% agree

I see this exactly the same.

I think the 3940J should also be ...

... high on your list. It's really the watch that saved Patek Philippe. I believe it was Philippe Stern's personal choice to wear?

I think this watch carried the day for PP
