Anyone use the 5146 as a daily wearer?

I’ve had it for 7 years. It keeps great time....on my winder. I have started to wear it more but wonder about how it would hold up to the daily routine. Of course, it would not be exposed to anything too rough. Does anyone have experience using one routin...

Yes, it's on my wrist since December last year when I bought. It's a great daily watch IMHO.

5146G is a great complication with a perfect blend of vintage and modern look. It can be a daily watch for a gentleman who doesn't have a very active lifestyle.

In terms of style, its a daily wearer because of tje very versatile creamy dial and the more casual numerals.

In terms of movement, its a daily wearer as well. This watch is doing fine even when you handle it a bit rough. Nice that you own the watch such a long time and still seem to enjoy it!

Thank you

Thank you for your input. That’s very helpful. I was mostly concerned about whether the 324 movement is robust enough for daily use. It feels reliable to me and I think it should do well. I acquired it for a special occasion, but since then, I haven’t rea...

Very positive experience with 5146G

Yours looks great. I have had mine since 2008 and it has been very reliable. The only incident I had was a broken mainspring. After a second PP annual calendar recently experienced the same problem within one year of purchase, I decided not to use the AP ...

Good advice

I didn’t think about the winder being an issue. By shear coincidence, mine stays 2/3 fully wound on my Wolf winder. I guess I just got lucky in that it’s not fully wound 24/7. Maybe that helped.

I owned a 5146G for almost 10 years

until I sold it last year to fund another watch. My experience is that it has been a great daily wearer without any flaws. It kept time perfectly and I did everything with it (except swimming and sport activities). So the movement proved to be for sure no...

But it’s the 5146G in WG, not in Platinum. 😊 Best Thomas

Not an issue at all

Hello this is my first post on this forum. I never had an issue using my 5146 as a daily wearer. It looks modern yet classy, you can easily dress it down. It also has a durable movement, mine is the 315, and even this one was very accurate and held time p...

I wear the platinum version regularly. I bought it in 2013 and it has the 324 movement. Have had no issues and think it’s a pretty versatile watch.

Perfect daily watch.

ACs are meant to be worn daily and it's plenty sturdy enough. I probably wouldn't change a tire with it on, or play a game of pickup basketball, but there's nothing going on in your office or around town that the 5146 isn't capable of handling. 324 is a v...

With so many votes “yes” for the 5146 as a daily companion, I have moved it to that position and I’m enjoying it immensely.
