Maybe my taste is getting old. But I’m happy to share a bit of history with this 160 years old pocket watch from Patek...

With The Order of The Garter Crest (in black enamel), originally made by Patek as confirmed by the archive. Always feeling special to be able to own pieces with a bit of story. ...

Do you know more about the history of this watch, by any chance, and who was the original owner? I'm no expert in British royalty, but given that this Order appears to have *extremely* limited admittance (currently only 24 members), it might be interestin...

Thank you!

No matter what this watch enhances my interest and knowledge about the history of The Order of Garter, which, to me, is more meaningful than the watch itself! ^^

I see! The watch for sure has a history behind it.

Interesting tidbits around its lived history too. It can be hard to piece these things together.
