The Dato was (is) a fantastic watch, and I enjoyed owning it. It was easy to let go simply because it’s easily replaceable, and so if the decision was one I really regretted I could reverse it. I am lusting for another Lange though, but I’m not sure any w...

they re-open in order to catch up with projected numbers, or else.. We might experience an era of non-limited, yet very small production pieces thanks to COVID-19.. Who knows?

the watch industry will have to play catch up once the factories re open or risk a big hit to their revenues which will definitely take a dive in 2020.

Gordon, first Patek need to release the watch in 2021 or 2022. Then I need to apply for one and hopefully get allocated a piece. So if you are waiting for a wrist shot, we are talking 2023 or 2024 my friend

I will be ready but normally there is a two to three year gap between each metal and 2021 or 2022 will be 2 or 3 years from 2019 when the J was released, Yes, time does fly!

I planed everything, so it depends what i shall do. It can be i do not buy when the price drops, and buy in a time the prices are back at the normal level.

When I asked them in an email, this was their response “With the current economic conditions the prices have come down a little”

Still an insane price though.

I understand "partly" if the pre-owned market price decelerates, mainly due to owners liquidating for cash to pay immediate expenses or invest, although such owners are usually cash heavy and don't usually need to liquidate too much. But ADs dropping pric... 

Asking prices have dropped by 10-15% at several dealers BUT I would say those prices (asks) are still above collector to collector asking prices for the same watch. I’m not sure I would pull the trigger though; far too much uncertainty right now. The worl... 

I guess the steel stuff is not longer going up bonkers but otherwise business as usual. Resale on strap watches has been soft for quite some time.

Prices are sticky, but they are still set on the margin. The marginal buyer has seen his financial assets decline by more than 20% (much more in many cases). And worse, some will be out of work. I don't see a scenario where prices don't drop significantly... 

How much are sales off? I'd guess sales are off a lot. Sales fall first, then prices. Not being argumentative. This is just my sense of how this is all going to shake out.

And now seeing some different pieces featured more prominently on WPS, it has shaken my confidence that that is the right move. The Zenith Inventor and the Laureato Skeleton that keep popping up here have really caught my eye. I know these are not really ...
