Advanced Research components
Oct 04, 2019,15:19 PM
Since 2005, Patek's Advanced Research Program has been experimenting with components made of silinvar, and has over the years produced a handful limited edition watches containing various such components. The components are the Spiromax balance spring, the Pulsomax escapement and the GyromaxSi balance, and all these components together goes under the term Oscillomax.
To my knowledge, only the Spiromax balance spring is currently used in regular production watches. Any idea why none of the other components are being used, or when Patek may start using them as part of the regular production?
