Patek 5096

I have a soft spot for the sleepers and with 33,5 mm. this 5096 is just perfect. For me Calatrava's should not be too big. Some say truly the last classic "96" Patek made, but with a sapphire caseback. Was made in very small production between 1996 and 19...

Thanks :) [nt]

I know 3796 and 5196 well of course but did not know about this 5096 that has existed in between... very nice Calatrava 👍. Is it the 215 PS that beats inside or an earlier movement ? Very elegant, wear it in the best of health

3796G but this watch would be a welcome addition. Yours is just the perfect size. I agree the 5196 is just too large. It actually wears very big for a 37mm, almost like a 39mm to me.

Ha, funny coincidence

I’ve been researching for my first Calatrava and thought the 5096 looked interesting, and just logged on to ask a question about it when I saw your post. I know it was limited run, but is it true that it was only produced in yellow gold?

Yes

From my recollection the 5096 was only produced in yellow gold. Terrific reference and much better proportioned in my opinion than the 5196.

Only found them in yellow gold.

If anything, because its movement is consistent with the case, which is more than can be said for the 5196, unfortunately.
