Discontinued Pateks Just Announced...

 By: @Patek_Ambassador : January 20th, 2020-09:31
Patek just announced the following references have been discontinued: 5711 White dial 5370P

would be cool if they had the guts to discontinue the blue 5711/1a too

no more steel and make a white gold for example. They would sell too and the profit margin for Patek would be MUCH higher ... so why not ...

Discontinuation of 5711/1A-011 could be the beginning of it.

They just can’t seem to get it right with this reference.

5960/01G is definitely being retired

 By: DOCSF : January 20th, 2020-10:50
I am not sure about 5961R and 5961P

Chill....discontinuing doesn’t always correlate to price...

Forum smart advice: buy what you want, love 😬

I don't think discontinuation will have a big impact on the value of the 5496P.

 By: DOCSF : January 20th, 2020-11:03
There are several versions of 5496P which has already been discontinued and secondary market prices are very soft for those references.

Whats really funny is that i just seen for the first time that both 5711 already have the new movement.

Happy to see that the Calatrava and some other pieces kept the 324 sc.

What was the history of the previous white dialed Nautilus?

 By: Jay (Eire) : January 20th, 2020-10:59
It also was in production for a while, then stopped. Personally, and I voted with my wallet, the white dial 5711 was a more visually appealing watch. 100% subjective view of course. I do wonder if some people will now look back and arrive at the same conc...

The white 5711 is superior visually for me...

Now biased, but was always in agreement.

Damn, the 5370P... [nt]

 By: amanico : January 20th, 2020-11:02

It is an amazing watch.

 By: DOCSF : January 20th, 2020-11:11
I can recall an author describing the black enamel dial being "darker than Satan's basement".

Yes, sad to see it go

 By: DOCSF : January 20th, 2020-21:31
I reckon Patek would introduce another variant of 5370P or another metal variant of 5370, hopefully with a blue enamel dial like 5539G

Thanks ,the good news if so manydiscontinued
