I have no doubts about that but I see it differently. I felt the same way when others left their respective companies...
For example: when Roger Dubuis left after selling RD to Richemont, same for Genta and Roth. With these Indies, I associate the watches with the artisans and masters who made them, so not necessarily the brand itself 🤷♂️

I bought my 5167 on rubber but added a bracelet later. It really feels like a completely different watch - the bonus is that I have small wrists and the bracelet contours much better because it doesn't flare out to either side of the case like the rubber ...

With the mesh bracelet, it is even more balanced.

LOL, the ploprof actually does wear better than the Daytona as weird as that sounds. Again, I am just taking the lug to lug measurement...
but you also have to consider the UBER cool and micro-adjustable dive buckle that comes with the sharkmesh bracelet that allows for 1.5mm adjustments on the fly up to more than 30mm with the dive extension. The Daytona's easylink adjustment is nowhere nea...
Indeed, the Ploprof wear much smaller than it's dimensions would suggest...
and even smaller with the sharkmesh bracelet as stated by Mizizata. Here is a "down the barrel" look with the sharkmesh on my 6.5" (16.5cm) wrist. As you can see, there is plenty of clearance and the case does not overhang or even come close to the width ...
