The first of two Parmagianis I added last year

Tonda 1950, redesigned in 2019, I believe.

In the first picture you should be able to see the grain of the dial, different from the earlier version which had a flat, matte dial.
Besides this, other changes were the removal of the oval border surrounding the name: numerals at the cardinal points in the small seconds subdial; and skeleton hands rather than white lume filling.
This last change makes for a dressier look-the prior version seemed at odds with the lume, giving the watch a sort of split personality.
Still, this one can be worn with pretty much anything and it looks fine.

You captured details that the official version didn't, and it looks even more attractive. Thank you for sharing!

A truly lovely one…

Parmigiani suits you my friend 👌🏻👍🏻 Need to see about that strap 😉 As for the face lifted version, I might be one of the rare ones, who appreciated the split personality of lumed hands of the original, although I find all the other changes of the new one ...

Okay, let’s see:

Thank you. The lume certainly had its charm; and use, though I prefer the skeletons now that they’re out of the closet. 100 pages in and I’m finding this book to be more like any other writers’ in style and plotting. It doesn’t sound uniquely Tana French....

Thanks so much for the concise summary 🙏🏻

Which means that I have some more books to go through before I get to this one! Need something lighter anyhow - been reading too much non-fiction over the past weeks 😊🤷🏻‍♂️

Scary prospect, that 😱😂

I’m still naive enough to believe that it’s actually a feature, rather than a bug 🐞😉🤷🏻‍♂️
