Parmigiani

The recent posts by M4 ( here and here ) and TheMadDruid ( here ) sharing their wonderful Parmigiani Torics (both first gen and revived edition) have poured some oil on my big love for this very unique collection. So I went online to see some more example...  

I must admit I don't really know a lot about this brand but from what I have seen they seem to make very nice watches with great finishing and movements. most of the ones I have seen are quite unique but with this one if you put a Breguet label on the dia...

together with a smaller date arch going from 9 to 3 o'clock. Here are two platinum examples (but I personally prefer the wider date arch, going from 8 to 4 o'clock): credit: phillips (1) & Sotheby's (2) ...  

The other version I prefer positions the day and month apertures in a vertical orientation. I also like the legibility of the date numerals on this version which are pushed out further to the perimeter of the dial. Photo from Class Watches Thanks for brin...  

with vertical day & month. Thanks for the discovery. Legibility of the date numerals is enhanced indeed. But I personally miss the double coin-edged bezel and, for whatever reason, I think the variant which appeals to me the most remains the one I chose f... 

In French, to remain patient, we often quote La Fontaine, a 17th century writer: “By time and toil we sever What strength and rage could never.” (Patience et longueur de temps font mieux que force ni que rage).

But for whatever reason the other layout appeals to me more…

So many incredible nuggets from this brand.

While all share the retrograde date display the position of the day and month indications truly change the personality of each. Happy to see you post this, Emmanuel.
