It's still winter here but I've got something new warming my wrist . . .
Parmigiani Toric Automatic, c. 2005.
The PF brand was founded in 1996, so this Toric is from the first decade. Cased in platinum with gold rotor, with the characteristic knurled bezel of the Toric line, or in this case double knurled bezel.
The watch was acquired in the fall of last year but sent to PF for servicing prior to delivery to me yesterday. I view this Toric Automatic as one of a handful of foundational pieces of a Parmigiani collection.
Of course I'm in the honeymoon phase of ownership (we've all been there). I've been searching for the right description of the watch since I put it on yesterday and what I've come up with is one word: refined.

You are right, I'm expecting the Toric Tourbillon to be delivered end of this month after servicing in Fleurier. Photo from A Collected Man which is where I acquired it. Same story . . . sent to PF for service. Thanks for looking. M4 ...
