Another Parmigiani star from W & W.
Parmigiani introduced the third iteration of skeletonized dial in its Tonda PF family and it's a stunner.
The skeletonized dial of this version is done in "Slate Green" and I can tell you it you that in person the visual impact is WOW! The pictures tell the story to an extent but it's even more stunning in the metal.
Under the hood is the same well-finished movement found in the previous excellent versions of the Tonda PF Skeleton: Caliber PF777 with full rotor, 60 hour power reserve, beating at 4 Hz. The case is ideally proportioned at 40mm x 8.5mm.
The previously released Tonda PF Skeleton models in Graphite and Milano Blue were not limited edition runs, but this new Slate Green version is strictly limited to 50 pieces.
My personal reaction to this watch was quite positive, surprisingly so in that I am not normally drawn to skeletonized dials. In this case, however, the play of light off the open worked bridges was captivating. Our community member K-Lo has commented on this phenomenon and I was able to witness it in person. Spectacular!

Exactly. I love green, but many are too “loud”
for regular wear. This one has the subtler wow factor. Wish it was not a limited run.
I’m surprised by how significantly better this OW dial looks compared to the steel.
Similarly, the dial on the red gold piece is excellent. I wish the steel had a similarly appealing dial, unless it just doesn’t photograph as well.🤷🏽♂️
I was trying to compare their openwork dials to that of Audemars Piguet…
and it seems that one of the main distinctions is that AP uses components with varying colors, thinner ‘scaffolding’ and degrees of contrast. In the case of PF, they have this thicker ‘scaffold’ that is either slate, light blue, or green which doesn’t all...
Actually, this Slate Green Skeleton is steel case and platinum bezel, like the original Graphite Skeleton.

I just looked at site and see the various options. There’s a separate all platinum piece. This green is limited edition like the all platinum.

I think we are at the last legs of the green dial hype and many green dialed watches will look dated in some years but this PF has such a unique feel and tone that I bet it will look good even after 10-20-30 years time. Expertly done, bravo to Mr Terreni ...
